I am delighted to say that All Saints, Carshalton has been awarded the Early Years Quality Mark, due to the amazing work which our staff team provide for our youngest pupils.

We know that our pupils have the best possible start to their education and that they have an excellent platform on which to build their future learning.

We are so proud of our amazing team of staff and our amazing pupils who work together securing the best possible outcomes.

Some of the feedback we received from our assessor:

  • The school has high expectations for all its children and staff.
  • The Foundation Stage has an active, independent learning approach with knowledgeable adults challenging and discussing learning with the children.
  • The Foundation Stage Leader is very knowledgeable about the cohort of children that attend there, and with that knowledge is leading a team to really support the children being active, independent learners.
  • The school is very proactive with developing it’s English and Mathematics and have recently invested in developed a love of reading across the school. A new school library has just opened.
  • There is a range of strategies to support and encourage children to develop their learning skills across all 7 areas of learning.
  • The adults support the children’s learning through the morning in the ‘discovery’ sessions and discuss the learning with the children throughout.
  • Planning for the children’s next steps are integral to how this school supports children’s learning.
  • The Foundation Stage Leader has high aspirations for the levels she hopes the children will achieve. The team are also reflective with their practice and make changes where needed. 
  • The team are really friendly and support a calm, active happy learning environment.
